Badrinath Dham is going to receive record number of pilgrims in upcoming Chardham Yatra. Although the gates of Badrinath Dham will open on 06th May, but all the hotels and Dharamshala are completely booked till end of June. Even the pilgrims who want to organize ‘Katha’ will have to wait till July-August. Advance Pooja booking slot is also filled 40% more than the last year. In 2016, 157 Puja advance booking was made in first month, but this year it has cross 204 till now.
Increase in the pilgrims rush is welcome by businesses at Badrinath Dham. Last year 6,54,000 pilgrims visited the Badrinath Temple. This year it is estimate to cross 10 Lac mark. Badrinath has the staying capacity of approx 23000 pilgrims in hotels and dharamshala.
