Chopta is a small settlement and valley that is located in the Northern Indian state of Uttarakhand. It is located at an altitude of 2680 meters above sea level. Chopta is situated in the Rudraprayag district of Uttarakhand state. Chopta is the starting point of the trekking to famous Tungnath Mandir. This place is popularly known as ‘Mini Switzerland’ in Uttaranchal and Northern India.Chopta is an untouched destination but is now becoming popular amongst the tourist. You can stay near the Deodar lake for as long as you want to as many tourists camp out here. Many pilgrims visit Tungnath Temple and Ukhimath with Char Dham Yatra. There are many Festivals Celebrated with overjoyed in Chopta such as Basant Panchami, Dussehra and Diwali.
