Jankichatti

Jankichatti is a highly famous tourist place situated in the Northern Indian state of Uttrakhand. Janki Chatti is a small town located on the way to Yamunotri Temple, famous for its many hot water springs, and it is located at a distance of around three kilometers from Yamunotri.

Perched at an elevation of about 2650 m above the sea level. This area encompasses the last village in the region and the pilgrims are provided with moderate accommodation facilities here. The town is surrounded by mountains exhibiting scenic views. Janki Chatti is an exotic place that is known well through the tourist ranks for serving as a base for pilgrims who travel to Yamunotri.

A dip in the hot water springs of Janki Chatti is an inevitable part of the Yamunotri pilgrimage and it is quite puzzling that in such a cool surroundings how the spring maintains its hotness pretty well.
