For all weather connectivity of Chardham in Uttarakhand, Finance Ministry sanctions an extra budget of Rs 2000 crore for thr ambitious project. The total cost of connecting Kedarnath, Badrinath, Yamunotri and Gangotri estimated to Rs 11,700 crore.
The budget of 2000 crore is addition to Rs 55000 crore budget provision by centre for Highways for this fiscal year. Under the Chardham connectivity all weather road project, seven stretches of 889 km are under DPR.
