Pant directed officials from Transport, Peyjal Nigam, Police, Health and Food Supply departments to ensure that all arrangements are complete one week before the yatra so that the pilgrims did not face inconvenience. He gave the instructions to set up temporary posts at all necessary places and provide the details of such posts to the district administration. He directed Border Roads Organisation officials to identify sensitive zones on national highways in the district and make adequate arrangements to deal with any eventuality. Officials of the Public Works Department (PWD) were directed to put in place safety measures on landslide-prone roads being maintained by the department in the district.
