Char Dham Package Itinerary

This 4 days Badrinath tour package will offer road tour to Badrinath from Haridwar , along with Badrinath Darshan. Later on you will visit Dwitya Kedar Tungnath Temple with one night stay at Chopta, Mini Switzerland. Also, you will visit God’s Own Lake Deoriyatal to enjoy the panoramic views of the Himalayas.

Day 01 Haridwar  – Badrinath (320kms/10hr) Height: 3133 MTS.

Early morning pickup from Haridwar Railway station/ Bus station and drive to Badrinath. Check in to the hotel arrival in Badrinath.  Pilgrims after having a bath in the Taptkund have the Darshan of Badrivishal & Aarti in the evening. Brahamakapal is significant for Pinddan Shraddh of ancestors (Pitrus). There is another interesting sightseeing spot like Mana, Vyas Gufa, Maatamoorti, Charanpaduka, Bhimkund, and the “Mukh” of the Saraswati River. Just within the three km of Badrinathjee. Overnight stay at Badrinath.

Badrinath one of the ‘Ancient Four Dhams’ is one of the most celebrated pilgrimage spots of the country and is situated at an elevation of 3,133 meters, guarded on either side by the two mountain ranges known as Nar & Narayan with the towering Neelkanth Peak providing a splendid backdrop. This revered spot was once carpeted with wild berries. Thus the place got the name “Badri van”, meaning “forest of berries”.

Tapt Kund: Natural thermal springs on the bank of the river Alaknanda, where it is customary to bath before entering the Badrinath temple.

Mana Village: Inhabited by an Indo-Mongolian tribe, it is the last Indian village before Tibet.

Vasundhara: As the name suggests, Vasundhara is a magnificent waterfall. This place is 5 km. from Badrinath out of which 2 km. is motorable upto Mana.

Bhim Pul: On the other side of Mana village, a massive rock forming a natural bridge, lies over the roaring Saraswati river. It presents a spectacular view of water thundering down through the narrow passage under the rock and is believed to have been placed there by Bhim, the second eldest among the five Pandava brothers.

Vyas Gufa (cave): Near Mana Village, this is a rock-cave where Ved Vyas is believed to have composed the Mahabharata and the pauranic commentaries.

Badrinath Weather: The average maximum temperature will be around 18° Celsius and the average minimum is 8° Celsius. Warm and woolen clothes are hence required for a stay in Badrinath throughout the year. Winter in Badrinath is often accompanied by snowfalls. Winter is very chilly with an average temperature of 5° Celsius. Due to the extreme climatic conditions, this time is usually closed for tourists.

Day 02 Badrinath – Chopta – Tungnath (148kms by road & 8kms Trek both way)

After breakfast, drive early morning to Chopta, known as Mini Switzerland. It will take 4 hr to reach Meraki Mayadeep Resort in Chopta. Check-in at hotel and after refreshment, start trek to Tungnath Temple, highest temple of Lord Shiva. The trek is about 3 kms from Chopta. Pay your respect at Tungnath temple. It is also known to be a Dwitya Kedar (Second Kedar), one among the Panch Kedar. Furthermore, if possible, trek 1 km more to reach Chandrashila peak or summit. You will witness the 360 degree panoramic view of Snow covered Himalayas. Return back to Hotel Mayadeep in Duggalbitta, Chopta. Overnight stay in Chopta.

Day 03 Chopta – Sari Village – Deoriyatal (22kms/1hr)

After hearty breakfast at the resort, ready for the short adventure trek to Deoriyatal (Lake of the Gods). Transfer to the Sari village which is 22 km from the resort. Start the 2.5 km trek to Deoriyatal from Sari village. It will roughly take 2 hrs to trek up to Deoriyatal. Evening for leisure at the Deoriyatal. Enjoy the scenic view of Chaukhamba and other famous peaks right from the lake. Stay at a camp near the Deoriyatal at the night.

Day 04 Deoriyatal – Sari Village – Haridwar (212 kms/8-9hrs)

Morning after breakfast, trek down to Sari village and drive for Haridwar via Rishikesh. Rishikesh ‘place of sages’ is a celebrated spiritual town on the bank of Ganga and is surrounded by the Shivalik range of the Himalayas on three sides. It is said that when Raibhya Rishi did hard penances, God appeared by the name of ” Hrishikesh ” and this area hence firth came to be known as Rishikesh. Later visit Rishikesh Temples & Sight Seeing – Laxman Jhulla, Ram Jhulla. Drop at Haridwar. Tour concludes.
