Badrinath
Badrinath is one of the celebrated pilgrimage site devoted to Lord Vishnu. It is located in Chamoli district in Uttarakhand. Badrinath Dham is an important site of Char Dham yatra in India. As per Hindu Mythology, Lord Vishnu is said to perform penance at this place.
Kedarnath
Kedarnath is located in Rudraprayag district of Uttarakhand. Kedarnath Dham is believed to be the holy abode of Lord Shiva. Kedarnath mandir is one of the Panch Kedar temples and one of the 12 Jyotir Lingams. Settled between Nar and Narayan peaks.
Gangotri
Seated at a height of 3,100 m in Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand, Gangotri Dham is devoted to Goddess Ganga. This beautiful sacred land is settled in the backdrop of snow-capped peaks, glaciers and gushing streams.
Yamunotri
Yamunotri Dham is located in Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand on the western side of Garhwal Himalayas. Perched 3,293 m above sea level, Yamunotri defines the greatness of river Yamunotri. Devotees worship goddess Yamuna very piously at the Yamunotri mandir.

Day 1
Delhi to Haridwar

Our driver will pick you from Delhi airport/station/hotel/home. From Delhi you will drive directly to Haridwar. On reaching Haridwar, check into the hotel and relax. In the evening, visit Mansa Devi temple & Ganga aarti on the banks of holy river Ganga. Later move back to the hotel and have a relaxed night stay in Haridwar.

Haridwar - Haridwar is one of the prominent Hindu pilgrimage sites of Uttarakhand. This ancient city is believed to be the place where Lord Shiva liberated Goddess Ganga from the locks of his hair. Haridwar is considered one of the seven holiest places to Hindus.

Har Ki Pauri - Har Ki Pauri is a popular ghat in Haridwar situated on the ghat of River Ganga. Har Ki Pauri hosts the divine Ganga Aarti (a ritual of worshipping River Ganga).The sight of Ganga being lighted up with small lamps during Ganga Aarti is mesmerizing. In the morning Ganga Aarti starts at 5:30 AM -6:30 AM. Every day at the evening aarti starts at 6:00 PM-7:00 PM.

Mansa Devi Temple - Placed atop Bilwa Parvat on the Shivalik Hills, Mansa Devi temple is devoted to Goddess Mansa Devi. This shrine is also known as Bilwa Tirth and is one of the Panch Tirth located in Haridwar. Mansa Devi mandir is also one of the three Siddh Peeth within Haridwar, other two being Chandi Devi temple and Maya Devi temple.

Haridwar to Barkot

On day 2 after early morning breakfast you will leave for Barkot via Mussoorie. Barkot is a major stopover when visiting Yamunotri Dham. Enroute to Barkot you will get to savor the magnificent view of various Himalayan peaks and Banderpoonch peak.

After enjoying sightseeing Mussoorie you will drive straight to Barkot. On arrival at Barkot, transfer to the hotel. Have dinner and sleep early as next day you are going to visit Yamunotri. Overnight stay in Barkot.

Mussoorie - Mussoorie is one of the well known hill station in India located 35 km from Dehradun. It is also called ‘Queen of Hills’. Placed on the foothills of Himalayas, Mussoorie is known for its scenic beauty. This hill station is also popularly known as the gateway to Yamunotri and Gangotri temples. There are many places worth visiting in Mussoorie like Kampty Fall, Lal tibba, Gunhill, Mall road, George Everest.

Places you will visit in Mussoorie are

Mussoorie Lake - Mussoorie lake is a famous tourist spot in Mussoorie. Surrounded by serene nature, one can enjoy boating in the lake and enjoy finest views of Don Valley. This beautiful lake is situated on Mussoorie Dehradun Highway.

Kampty Fall - Located at a height of 4,500 ft, Kampty Fall is a spectacular waterfall and a must visit destination near Mussoorie. It is situated 15 km from Mussoorie on Yamunotri road.

Day 3
Barkot - Yamunotri - Barkot

After breakfast in the morning you will leave for Yamunotri. The motorable road to Yamunotri continues till Jankichatti. So, after a drive till Jankichatti you will start 6 km trek to reach Yamunotri temple. Yamunotri trek trail passes through lush meadows, gushing cascades and some rare Himalayan shrubs. Ponies, horses or palanquins are easily available. (Cost of horse, ponies or palanquins is not included in this Chardham tour package).

After reaching Yamunotri Dham, you can take bath in Jamnabai Kund. You can also prepare prasad in Surya Kund by dipping raw rice or potato in the hot water of the kund. Offers prayers and prasad to the holy deity. Have darshan of Yamunji.

Later, after darshan follow the same route and return back to Barkot. Check-in the hotel and enjoy peaceful overnight stay in Barkot.

Surya Kund - Surya Kund is a thermal spring located at the vicinity of Yamunotri temple. Before visiting the temple pilgrims prepare prasadham in the hot water of the kund. This kund get its name from Yamuna river that is believed to be the daughter of Surya or Sun God.

Yamunotri Temple - Enclosed by Bandarpunch mountain to its North, Yamunotri shrine is located at a height of 3,293 mts. One of the most sacred river of India, River Yamuna originates from here. At the temple pilgrims very devotionally worship Goddess Yamuna. Goddess Yamuna is said to be the twin sister of Yama (God of Death) and daughter of Surya Dev. Some of the places one can visit near Yamunotri Dham are Saprishi Kund, Hanumanchatti, Kharsali.

Saptarishi Kund - Saptarishi kund is located 10 km from Yamunotri.  It is a beautiful dark blue lake. Saptarishi kund is fed by Champasar glacier and is regarded as the original source of Yamuna River.

Hanuman Chatti - According to Hindu mythology, Hanuman Chatti is the place where Lord Hanuman met Bhima. It is situated at the junction point of Hanuman Ganga and Yamnuna rivers. Dodi Tal trek (3,307mt) starts from here.

Kharsali -Located amidst the oak and conifers trees, Kharsali is a scenic meadow. Tourists get lost in the unparallel beauty of this place. During winter season, Kharsali works as the winter abode of Goddess Yamuna.

Barkot to Uttarkashi

After early morning breakfast you will drive to Uttarkashi. On arrival at Uttarkashi, check into the hotel and take rest. The fresh air and awe-inspiring views of Fur, Pine and Deodar tress found here will sooth your soul. Later you will visit one of the prominent shrines, Kashi Vishwanath temple in Uttarkashi.

After seeking blessings of Lord Shiva at Kashi Vishwanath temple, move back to hotel. Spend the night in hotel in Uttarkashi.

Uttarkashi - Uttarkashi is one of the ancient town located on the banks of Bhagirathi river. It is placed at an altitude of 1,165m above sea level. Uttarkashi houses many pristine temples and some popular trekking destinations like Har Ki Dun Valley, Dayara Bugyal and Dosi Tal.

Kashi Vishwanath Temple - It is the most significant oldest temple in Uttarkashi that lies on Char Dham route. The shrine is dedicated to Lord Shiva and was initially built by Sage Parshuram. Another sacred temple, Shakti temple is located just opposite to Vishwanath temple. Shakti temple is devoted to Goddess Parvati.

Uttarkashi - Gangotri - Uttarkashi

Start your journey towards Gangotri after early morning breakfast in hotel. Along the way stopover at Gangnani which is famous for its thermal springs. Take a holy dip in natural hot water spring located here known as Rishikund. Further, drive to Gangotri via Harsil Valley. Harsil is situated on Uttarkashi-Gangotri road.

On arrival at Gangotri Dham take a bath in the holy waters of River Ganga. River Ganga is also called Bhagirathi at its origin point. Offer prayers and seek blessings of Goddess Ganga at Gangotri temple. Gangotri mandir was built in 18th century by a Gorkha Commander. The temple has a beautiful formation made of white granite and surrounded by dense deodar & pine trees.

After darshan spend some relaxing time in the serene spiritual setting of the temple. Later transfer back to the hotel. Have dinner and enjoy a comfortable night stay in Uttarkashi.

Harsil - It is a charming hamlet located on the banks of Bhagirathi river at an elevation of 2,620 m. Harsil has become one of the favorite spot among nature lovers and travel enthusiasts. This quaint hamlet is blessed with pure serenity and is a perfect getaway destination.

Gangotri Temple - Gangotri temple looms at a height of 3,100 m. The main section of the temple is called Garbhagriha or sanctum sanatorium. Goddess Ganga holy image is placed in Garbhagriha section. In the morning Mangal aarti takes place at 6:00 AM. The beautiful Sandhya Aarti is performed around 7:45 PM in summers and at 7:00 PM in winters.

There are many tourist spots near Gangotri Dham that are worthwhile to visit

Submerged Shivling - Submerged shivling which is also called Jalmanga shivling remain immersed in the river water. It is only visible during winters when water level goes down.

Tapovan - Tapovan is located at a height of 4,460 m above sea level. It is a spectacular meadow that surrounds the peaks.

Gaumukh Glacier - Gaumukh glacier is the second largest glacier of India located at a height of 4,238 mts. It is 30 kms in length and 4 kms in width. Gangotri acts as the base camp for Gaumukh Glacier trek.

Dodital - Dodital is a freshwater high altitude lake enclosed by high Himalayan peaks. Dodital trek is popular among adventure enthusiasts and hikers. Nachiketa Tal- Nachiketa Tal is a stunning elliptical shaped lake. It is located at a distance of 131 km from Gangotri. The perfect setting of oak forests and thick pines makes this lake picturesque.

Kedar Tal - Kedar tal also known as ‘Shiva’s Lake’ is one of the highest glacial lake in the Garhwal region of Uttarakhand. Kedar Tal trek is difficult but trek trail leads to enchanting views of nature. Trek route to Kedar Tal from Gangotri is18 kms.

Uttarkashi to Guptkashi

In the morning after breakfast you will leave for Guptkashi. Drive to Guptkahsi will be via Moolgarh and Lambgoan. Guptkashi is situated on the route to Kedarnath on the west side of sacred Mandakini river. It lies 47 km before the Kedarnath Dham.

On the way to Guptkahsi you will get to enjoy the drive alongside the miraculous Mandakini river with profound sight of lofty peaks. On the way you will visit one of the famous temples of Guptkashi, Ardh Narishwar temple. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva.

After exploring the picturesque Guptkashi and Ardh Nareshwar temple you can check-in the hotel. Have a good sleep and prepare yourself for the next day journey to Kedarnath. Overnight stay will in Guptkashi.

Ardh Nareshwar Temple - Ardh Nareshwar temple is devoted to Lord Shiva and is located to the left of Vishwanath temple. The presiding image in this shrine is in the form of half man and women signifying Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. The architecture of this shrine is similar to other temples in Uttarakhand and one of them is Kedarnath.

Guptkashi - It is said that it was here at Guptkashi where Lord Shiva concealed himself when Pandavas were looking for him. Guptkahsi is one of the saintly town of Uttarakhand and Vishwanath & Ardhnareshwar are the main temples located here. Gaurikund from where trek to Kedarnath dham commences is situated 34 km ahead of Guptkashi.

Guptkashi - Kedarnath - Guptkashi

Early morning after breakfast you will depart for Kedarnath Dham. Kedarnath is accessible only after an 18 km trek from Gaurikund. (Horses or palanquins are available for rent). Now Kedarnath helicopter services are very popular. So, if you don’t want to go by trek you can avail the helicopter services.

Kedarnath by Helicopter - If you wish to travel via helicopter to Kedarnath then in the morning our driver will transfer you directly to pre-booked helipad. During the helicopter ride you can enjoy the splendid aerial view of Kedarnath Dham. After darshan driver will drop you back to hotel. (Helicopter ticket is not included in the Chardham travel package).

Kedarnath by Trek - In the morning driver will drop you at Sonprayag. Sonprayag is just 5 km below Gaurikund. From Sonprayag take the local jeep for Gaurikund. Start the 18 km trek from Gaurikund to reach Kedarnath. Reach Kedarnath temple and seek blessings of Lord Shiva. Offer prayers and relax for some time in the devotional arena of the shrine. After darshan you follow the same and move back to Sonprayag.

In Sonprayag there is huge parking issue and driver won’t be able to stay for long at Sonprayag. So, please do coordinate with driver. There is network issue also, so you may have to arrange other taxi or wait for the driver.

Later transfer back to the hotel. Have dinner and enjoy a peaceful sleep in the hotel in Guptkashi.

Best places to see near Kedarnath Dham

Gaurikund - It is the base camp for Kedarnath trek. Surrounded by majestic Garhwal Himalayas, Gaurikund is located at an altitude of 6,502 feet. Gaurikund is connected to Lord Shiva’s wife Parvati also called Gauri.

Vasuki Tal - It is a pristine high altitude lake settled at an amazing height of 14,200 feet above sea level. The Vasuki tal trek is 8 km from Kedarnath.

Bhairavnath Temple - The temple is dedicated to Lord Bhairav, who is believed to safeguard the Kedarnath Dham during winters. It is located 1 km from the Kedarnath Temple.

Sonprayag - Sonprayag is a tiny village located at an altitude of 1829m. This is the same place where two holy rivers Sone-Ganga and Mandakini meet.

Apart from important religious site, Kedarnath dham is also popular among the trek lovers. Trekkers can go for Kedarnath trek (18 km), Vasuki Tal trek (6km), Chorabari Tal trek (3 km) and a small Bhairon temple trek (1km).

Guptkashi to Badrinath

On day 8 you will visit the Badrinath Dham and your Chardham yatra will come to an end. After a good breakfast you will drive to Badrinath. Badrinath is easily accessible by road and has good motorable road connectivity. On the way you will drive alongside snow covered giant peaks and various ghats. Once you reach Badrinath you can check-in the hotel. Further you can proceed towards Tapt Kund for a holy dip. After taking a bath in hot water of the Kund move towards Badrinath temple. Pay homage to Lord Vishnu enshrined in the Garbha Griha section of the temple. Devotees can also offer special pujas.

After a religious darshan of Badrivishal and exploring the untainted surroundings of Badrinath, you will return back to hotel. Night halt will be at Badrinath. Have a relaxed sleep in the hotel after having the dinner.

Badrinath Sightseeing - Enclosed by scenic natural vistas, there are many sightseeing destinations near Badrinath temple like Vyas Gufa, Bhim Kund, Neelkanth Parvat, Narad Kund, Bheem Pul, Sheshnetra and many more. Tapt Kund located here is believed to hold high medicinal values.

Mana - You can visit the culturally rich village, Mana Village. It is the last village on Indian side of Indo-China Border that is located 4 km from Badrinath.

Vyas Gufa - Vyas Gufa is situated in Mana village alongside many other caves. It is said that the great Shri Vyas Muni wrote an important grantha of Mahabharata at this cave.

Neelkanth Peak - Also known as ‘Queen of Garhwal’, Neelkanth peak gives splendid background to Badrinath Dham. This peak stands at a height of 6,597 m.

Vasudhara Fall - Vasudhara is a beautiful waterfall that drops from a height of 400 feet around 122 meters above sea level. After 3km trek from Mana Vilage one can reach the fall.

Badrinath Trekking - All the trek freaks looking for trekking expedition should must travel to Badrinath. Some of the popular treks that starts from Badrinath are Satopanth trek, Charanpaduka trek and Mana pass trek.

Badrinath - Joshimath - Rudraprayag

In the morning after breakfast you will proceed towards Rudraprayag via Joshimath. You will drive through serene views of Joshimath. On the way you can visit Narsingh temple in Joshimath. Offer pujas and worship at the sacred deity of Lord Vishnu (Narsimha avatar) present in the form of half lion & half man at the temple. Later, after temple darshan drive back to Rudraprayag via Joshimath.

Rudraprayag is one of the Panch Prayags or five confluences of Alaknanda River. You will spend the night in the nature’s bounty surroundings of Rudraprayag.

Joshimath - Joshimath is one of the monasteries or fourth math discovered by Adi Guru Shankaracharya in the 8th century AD. It is also the winter abode of Lord Badrinarayan when temple image is transferred to Vasudeva temple in Joshimath. Joshimath has become an important pilgrimage centre that is seated at an elevation of 1,890 m above sea level.

Rudraprayag - It is located at the confluence of two sacred river Alaknanda and Mandakini. Rudraprayag is situated at an elevation of 610 m above sea level. The road to Kedarnath and Badrinath Dham diverts from Rudraprayag.

After breakfast you will be driving back to Haridwar via Rishikesh. Rishikesh is one of the lively getaway destinations that is placed on the banks of holy river Ganga. On the way to Rishikesh you will get to see the panoramic glimpse of Himalayan beauty with turquoise color water flowing alongside.

Check in the hotel. In the evening you will explore some famous Rishikesh temples and visit some popular sightseeing spots in Rishikesh like Ram Jhulla and Laxman Jhulla.

Later, transfer to hotel. Overnight stay in Haridwar.

Rishikesh - Rishikesh has become a popular destination for pilgrimage, yoga and adventure sports. This happening spot is seated on the foothills of Shivalik range at an altitude of 356 m above sea level. It is located 25 km ahead of Haridwar. Rishikesh is also named as ‘Yoga Capital of the World’ as it houses many yoga centers that attract various tourists.
