You will start your journey on the Do Dham Helicopter Tour from Sahastradhara Helipad in Dehradun. You will reach Phata, where you will switch to a Kedarnath shuttle service helicopter for the onward journey to Kedarnath Dham. The helicopter will take off from Phata, commencing your journey towards Kedarnath Dham. You will arrive at Kedarnath, where a priority Darshan has been arranged for you. This will provide you with a special opportunity to have a more convenient and meaningful experience at the temple. After completing your visit to Kedarnath Temple, you will board the helicopter to depart from Kedarnath and head back to Phata. Once you arrive at Phata, you will proceed to board another helicopter that will take you to Badrinath Dham. You will reach Badrinath, a renowned Hindu pilgrimage site, and participate in a special Puja that has been arranged exclusively for you. Fixed Flight Timings: The departure timings for each destination are fixed, and passengers must report as per the scheduled Estimated Time of Departure (ETD). Failure to report on time will be considered a no-show.
COVID Travel Guidelines: Passengers and the helicopter company must adhere to the COVID protocols mandated by the government. Boarding can be denied without a refund if these guidelines are not followed.
Helicopter Weight Limitation: The maximum weight capacity of the helicopter is 450 kg (excluding baggage). Passengers will be accommodated based on load and temperature conditions, as determined by the pilot. The total weight of all passengers must not exceed this limit. Please provide accurate weights at the time of booking.
Passenger Weights: Passengers must provide their correct weights at the time of booking. If there is a change in weight at the time of travel that exceeds the helicopter's weight carrying capacity, the passenger(s) may be deboarded and the Heli-tour will be canceled without a refund.
Overweight Charges: Overweight charges of INR 2000/kg apply to passengers weighing above 75 kg. Excess weight will be calculated on the total weight exceeding the permissible weight limit of all group members combined. Any discrepancy in passenger weights will be collected prior to boarding.
Baggage Allowance: Only one baggage weighing a maximum of 5 kg is allowed per passenger. Suitcases or large luggage bags are not permitted. Duffle bags will be provided on the day of arrival.
Seating Arrangement: Due to limited weight carrying capacity, passengers may be shuffled between helicopters to manage the weight distribution. Passengers traveling together may not be accommodated in the same helicopter flight.
Arrival Date: The Chardham 4N5D Heli-tours are booked departure date-wise. Passengers are required to arrive in Dehradun one day prior to the departure date. The complimentary night stay in Dehradun on the arrival date extends the package to a 5-night/6-day tour. Actual flying commences from day 2 of the tour.
Seating Capacity: The maximum seating capacity of our helicopters is 6 passengers plus 1 crew.
Infants: Infants below 2 years or weighing below 12 kg can travel free of charge. Proof of age, such as an ID proof or birth certificate, will be required for verification.
Please note that flying in hilly regions is subject to unpredictable weather conditions and various Force Majeure factors, such as delayed Air Traffic Clearances, VVIP movements, valley flying by the Indian Air Force (NOTAM), unexpected technical issues with the aircraft, illness of the flying crew, or passengers reporting late at the helipads, among others. These factors can potentially cause delays or disruptions to the scheduled itinerary.
In light of these circumstances, we strongly recommend that passengers keep an additional day available, extending their travel plans to 5 nights and 6 days. This extra day acts as a buffer to mitigate any inconvenience that may arise due to bad weather or other force majeure scenarios.
Airport Transfers: Airport transfers will be provided on your arrival day at Dehradun and on the last day of the tour, ensuring a smooth transition between the airport and your accommodation.
Additional Expenses: Any donations, tips, pitthu (porters), palki/ pony rides, and porter charges are not included in the package and should be borne by the passengers.
Required Documents: Indian passengers are required to provide copies of their AADHAR cards, and foreign nationals should provide their passports for necessary documentation.
Helicopter Company Crew: Each Dham has its own dedicated crew from the helicopter company. Passengers can approach them for guidance and assistance during their visit to the temples.
Limited Network Connectivity: Please be aware that network connectivity at Harsil and Badrinath can be poor. BSNL and Jio are the main telecom services that work in these regions, but not always. However, our staff will be present to assist passengers at all times.
High Altitude and Weather: All the temples in the Chardham sector are situated at high altitudes. Passengers are advised to carry medication and heavy woolen clothing due to the potential drop in temperature during evenings and nights.
Medical Emergencies: We will not be liable for any medical emergencies that may occur during the tour. Passengers are strongly advised to consult a doctor and undergo a medical check-up before embarking on the yatra, especially if they have any pre-existing medical conditions.
Mental Health Considerations: For safety reasons, passengers with psychiatric issues such as depression, obsessive-compulsive disorders, or any other mental illness will not be allowed to fly.
Carriage by Air Act: The carriage is subject to the regulations and provisions of the Carriage by Air Act, 1972. The liability of the helicopter company for any damage, injury, or loss will be governed by the provisions of the Act and related notifications.
Passenger Conduct: The helicopter company reserves the right to cancel the booking of any passenger who displays unruly behavior, abusive language, intoxication, illness, or any other condition that may compromise flight safety. No refund will be provided in such cases.
We understand that plans can change, and we strive to accommodate your needs. You have the option to reschedule your booking to a future or prior travel date, subject to availability. To avail of this option, a rescheduling fee of 10% of the total tour cost will be applicable.
Please note that rescheduling requests must be made at least 30 days before the scheduled arrival date to secure the desired changes. We will make every effort to accommodate your new travel dates based on availability.In the event that a rescheduling request is received less than 30 days prior to the travel date, the booking will be treated as canceled. A fresh booking can be made, subject to availability, after the application of applicable cancellation charges. We strive to provide flexibility and convenience to our valued guests. To secure your booking, a deposit of 50% of the total tour amount must be made in advance. The remaining balance should be deposited no later than 14 days prior to your scheduled arrival in Dehradun. Please note that passengers will not be permitted to board or commence the tour unless the full payment has been made.
In the event of unforeseen circumstances or bad weather conditions, the following refund policy applies:
COVID-19 Cases or National/State Emergency: If passengers test positive for COVID-19 prior to travel, or if the Yatra is called off by the government due to a national or state emergency, no refunds will be applicable. However, passengers will receive a Credit Voucher valid for one year, which can be utilized for any of our helicopter tours or charter services, either by the passengers themselves or their friends/relatives.
Cancellation and Rescheduling: If the tour departure from Dehradun on Day One is canceled, a full refund will be provided according to our policies. However, if passengers prefer to reschedule the tour for the next available date, a fresh booking can be made, and the unutilized amount from the previous booking can be adjusted. Any additional costs will be borne by the passengers. If the ongoing tour gets disrupted, our team will propose a revised itinerary within the scheduled package days, without extending the duration. Any extension requested by passengers will be considered at an extra cost and subject to operational feasibility.
Flight Restrictions and Emergency Ferry Flights: In case of turbulent wind conditions, flights to Harsil/Jhalla may be suspended after 12:00 PM. Emergency ferry flights requested by passengers will be charged at INR 125,000 per hour, plus GST.
Any disputes regarding the legality, interpretation, application, or performance of services or any of its terms and conditions will be governed by the laws of Uttarakhand jurisdiction.
