As per reports, total 8120 commercial vehicles had been given Green Card for Chardham yatra. These cards were given by state transport department for the dates between 10 May to 25 May. There were 6330 state number vehivles and 1790 other state vehicles.
As per stats released by dept, 1,56,529 pilgrims had visited chardham on Green Card vehicles. There are various checkposts in Chardham route. Also 512 vehicles get challan for breaking laws and four vehicles have been seized. Out of total, 3953 buses and 6117 taxi-maxi vehicles visited Chardham on green card.
