World famous Lord Kedar’s Panchmukhi movable Vigraha festive Doli has left for Kedarnath Dham from Omkareshwar Temple, Ukhimath, its winter seat. Devotees gathered this morning to send the doli to the Kedarnath dham. After two years due to the Corona epidemic, a wonderful confluence of faith was seen in Baba Kedar. The eyes of the devotees were moist while doli of Baba Kedar left. Now the doors of Kedarnath Temple will be opened on 6th May at 6.25 am.
Actually, Lord Omkareshwar stays in Ukhimath during 6 months of winter. As soon as summer arrives, Baba Kedar’s Doli leaves for Kedarnath on the appointed date. According to this tradition, the moving idol of Lord Kedar will stay overnight in Guptkashi tonight, Phata on Tuesday and Gaurikund on May 4. Doli will reach Kedarnath on 5th and on 6th May the doors of Baba Kedar will be opened for the devotees at 6.25 am.
