Due to Covid, Kedarnath Utsav Vigraha Doli , Gaurikund on the vehicle from the Omkareshwar temple in Ukhimath to Gaurikund on 14 May. Utsav Doli will reach Kedarnath Dham on 15 May after a night’s rest at Gaurikund. The doors of Kedarnath Dham will be opened on 17 May after resting for two days.
In the presence of Rawal Bhimashankar Linga, a meeting of administration, devasthan board, tirthapurohit society and other people was organized in the Omkareswar temple complex. After nearly two hours of consultations, it was decided unanimously that this year also Baba Kedar’s Utsav Vigraha Doli will arrive in Gaurikund directly on vehicle.
During this time, only worship will be done as per traditions at fixed places. The administration has made aware that the global epidemic corona had taken a fatal form. Therefore, as a precaution, it has been decided to transport Utsav Doli to Gaurikund by vehicle.
Baba Kedar’s Utsav Doli will be sent from the Panchkedar Gaddisthal Omkareshwar temple to Gaurikund by vehicle on the fixed date. In the meeting, the priests told that the list of 21 people has been submitted to the administration for permission to visit Kedarnath Dham.
Also, a list of 30 people has been given to the administration by the Devasthanam Board. Here, Deputy District Magistrate Jitendra Verma said that only after the Covid test, people will be allowed to visit Kedarnath.
