Badrinath Master Plan
The Chief Minister said that the contribution of oil companies in the development of Badrinath Master Plan is commendable. The focus of the state government is on promoting homestays in the area, so that the pilgrims can get affordable facilities when they come visit Chardham in Uttarakhand. The Chief Minister said that the government is committed for restructure of Badrinath Dham in the next three years. In the coming years, like Badrinath and Kedarnath shrines, development works will also be done for Gangotri and Yamunotri shrines in Uttarkashi.
Badrinath Dham will be developed as a Smart Spiritual Town in line with Prime Minister Modi’s vision. In addition to the embankment works on the Alaknanda river, the plumbing, drainage, sewage, light, CCTV, PA system, toilets, bridges, etc. are proposed to be beautified and reconstructed. In the first phase, it is proposed to expand the hospital here. Apart from this, river front development, embankment strengthening, landscaping, congestion holding area, retrofitting of bridges, etc. are to be done.
Badrinath’s work to be done in 85 hectares of land
The Chief Minister said that facilities are to be developed in Badrinath Dham keeping in view the requirements of the next 100 years. In a total of 85 hectares of land, the works are to be done in a phased manner. Special efforts are being made to increase the facilities for the pilgrims at Badrinath Dham.
Vyas, Ganesh Gufa will be revived
Along with this, some of famous places near Badrinath like Vyas Cave, Ganesh Cave and Charan Paduka etc. are also to be redeveloped .
