The devotees of the country and the world will now be able to visit Chardham and other major temples of the state online. The morning and evening aarti will be broadcast live through the internet. For this, Reliance Jio will create a digital platform. A digital platform will be made available by the Reliance Jio on behalf of the state government to provide live darshan of Kedarnath, Badrinath, Gangotri, Yamunotri and the other famous temples of the state.
The devotees from across the world cannot come to Uttarakhand due to any reason, now they can visit the temples live through the internet. Last year, during a roadshow held in Mumbai for Investors Summit, renowned entrepreneur Mukesh Ambani met Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat and proposed to cooperate in Net connectivity for Digital Uttarakhand. On this, 89% of work on fiber connectivity has been done by Jio.
Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat said that devotees from all over the world will get acquainted with the spirituality of the state through online visits to Chardham and other temples. Last year, a record number of devotees had visited Chardham and Hemkund Sahib. After the completion of the All-weather Road and Rishikesh-Karnprayag rail line, more than one crore devotees are expected to arrive. The Chardham Devasthanam Board also has been formed to improve the arrangements.
