For Chardham Yatra in Uttarakhand, it will now be necessary to give Aadhaar number of every pilgrim in the registration form. This arrangement will start from 6th October. The registration for the journey of Kedarnath, Badrinath, Gangotri and Yamunotri Dham for October 15 onwards will start from 06 Oct 2021. Due to Navratras, the registration is full till October 15 in all the Char Dhams. About 70000 pilgrims have been registered so far.
On the directions of the High Court, the government has fixed the number of pilgrims daily to visit the CharDhams. 1000 for Badrinath, 800 for Kedarnath, 600 for Gangotri, 400 for Yamunotri Dham are the fixed numbers for Chardham darshans.
After the removal of the court ban in the state, the government started the operation of Chardham Yatra from September 18. Chardham Yatra e-pass has been issued for the pilgrims going to visit the Char Dhams from the state and outside. For Yatra epass, registration has to be done on the website of Devasthanam Management Board www.devasthanam.uk.gov.in.
From September 18 to October 4, more than 43000 pilgrims have visited Kedarnath, Badrinath, Gangotri and Yamunotri Dham. Whereas till October 15, about 70000 pilgrims have registered for the Chardham Yatra e-pass. From 1st to 3rd October, 828 passengers from Guptkashi, Phata, Sirsi helipad reached Kedarnath by heli service.
