Two of the four sacred shrines in Uttarakhand, Gangotri & Yamunotri will open for pilgrims on 09 May 2016. The sacred abodes were closed last year during winters, now will reopened for devotees on the occassion of Akshay Tritiya on May 9.

Gangotri Mandir Samiti Chairman Mukesh Semwal told that the holy hour of Gangotri & Yamunotri abode of opening will be fixed shortly by the priests.
