The vehicles going for Chardham yatra have to get their greencard. From monday the making of greencard for all commercial vehicles going for Char Dham Yatra is started. The green card is compulsory for every commercial vehicle on yatra road. Even commercial vehicles from other states also need to have green card.
Green card for commercial vehicle can be made from any state RTO or ARTO office. A driver and commercial vehicle is needed for making Green card with fitness papers, wooden block, stepany, first aid box, drivers’s dress, passenger log book etc.
The validity of green card for state vehicles will be for 2 months and for other states vehicles 15 days. Both of green cards will be different and no vehicle will surpass the checkposts without green card. There will be temporary checkposts from 01 May at Bhadrakali, Brahmapuri, Kuthalgate, Damta.
