Weather department has generated a warning for heavy rain on Chardham route for next 24 hrs. Chief Secretary has directed District Magistrates of Rudraprayag, Chamoli, Uttarkashi and Pithoragarh to be alert. A forecast of heavy rain at four districts of Uttarakhand is given by weather deptt. All the four dhams are situated in Uttarkashi and Chamoli districts.
All pilgrims are advise to visit Chardham with full preparation and precautions. Pilgrims should travel with warm clothes, raincoats, umbrella etc. The administration is alert for any kind of situation. All roads are open and JCBs are deployed at distances for any road blockage due to rain.
