The Hemkund Sahib Management Trust has postponed the decision to start Hemkund Sahib’s pilgrimage on May 10, in view of the growing Corona cases in Uttarakhand.
This information has been given by the trust’s vice president, Narendra Jeet Singh Bindra. The next date for opening of Hemkund Sahib will be determined only after the corona infection subsides.
Gurudwara Shri Hemkund Sahib Management Trust Vice President Narendrajit Singh Bindra informed that Corona cases are increasing rapidly in the state. In this situation the Hemkund Yatra cannot be started. People from all over the world come to visit Shri Hemkund Sahib, so we do not want to endanger anyone.
Keeping this in view, it has been decided to postpone the journey for the present. However preparations were made to start the journey. These preparations were made in view of Covid, but the situation has changed very fast in the last few days. In these circumstances, the journey can no longer be started. As soon as the new date is released, the Sangat will be informed in advance.
