District Collector Dr. Ashish Kumar Srivastava held a meeting with officials at the Collectorate Auditorium for the preparations for the Chardham Yatra. During this time, he instructed the officials to compulsorily set the rate list in the hotels, dhabas, restaurants and refreshment centers of the Chardham route and put a sign-board of emergency numbers on vehicles, dhabas, and stations.

PwDs and senior citizens will be given preference in Chardham registration

The District Magistrate asked the Tourism Department to get registration expeditiously of PwDs and senior citizens, visiting Chardham Yatra. He also asked the Transport Department and Traffic Police to make such provision in the software in the safety app so the driver driving the vehicle to be caught on the check post within 24 hours.

He instructed the officials, on the route on which only one bus runs, should not be put on Chardham Yatra. PWD officials were instructed to repair the roads as well as install parfaits, warning boards, etc. in the Chardham route. He also asked the officials to give details of the security work done for the upcoming Chardham Yatra.
