On Thursday, Kedarnath Dham receives snowfall from 3 pm to 6 pm. It has also increased the cold in Uttarakhand.
NIM Uttarkashi in-charge Devendra Bisht told that the mercury of Kedarnath was recorded at 2 degree celsius at 7.00 in the evening. The weather was clear in the morning, but after midday the cloudy storm started and the snow started falling. In other areas of the district along with Rudraprayag, the weather remained pleasant even throughout the day and there was a sunny sunshine.
On the other hand, there was slight snowfall in Yamunotri Dham. Light showers falls at Yamuna’s maiday Kharsali. There were strong winds in some places, including Uttarkashi, which also started blowing dust.
The coldness has increased at Badrinath Dham, Hemkund Sahib and Valley of flowers since the snowfall. Temperatures in the lower areas including Gopeshwar, Pepalkoti have also reduced.
Temperature in Chamoli district was 16 degrees celsius on Wednesday, which was 8 degrees Celsius on Thursday evening. In Badrinath, the temperature was 13 degree Celsius on Wednesday, which was recorded at 10 degree celsius on Thursday.
