There is still about one and a half months left for the Kedarnath Yatra to start, but the travel administration has geared up for the preparations. However, at present, snow was removed only one meter in width from the walkway. So that along with the horse-mule, the advance team can easily move up to Kedarnath. After this, the workers of DDMA will again start the work of clearing the snow from the walkway. So that the road can be opened in width of three meters. DDMA Executive Engineer Praveen Karnwal said that the team has reached Kedarpuri while removing the snow. Soon the snow will be removed even till the temple.
Horse-mule registration for Kedarnath from April 1
For Kedarnath Yatra, health check-up and insurance of horse and mule is being done through the camps from March 21. So far, health check-up and insurance of 292 horses and mules have been done. Chief Veterinary Officer Dr. Ashish Rawat informed that roster-wise camps are being organized at Nyaya Panchayat level in Rudraprayag district. So far, camps have been organized in Raulekh, Maikhanda and Chhenagad. Every year horse-mule is registered for travel only after health certificate and insurance. The district panchayat will start the registration of horse-mule from April 1. Dr. Rawat told that on March 24, Mansuna, Gaurikund, Jakholi and Badma, on March 28, Sirsoli, Barasu and Chandrapuri, on March 31, Jal Malla, Khumera and Naini Paundar, on April 4 Kalimath, Narayankoti and Nagjagai, on April 7 Jakhdhar and Triyuginarayan, health camps will be organized on April 10 at Lwara and Banswara and on April 13 at Salya and Badreth.
