New Route will be made for Kedarnath Yatra

The devotees will now visit Kedarnath Temple from the new route. The construction of the new route is started on the top of the security wall built at the bank of river Mandakini. The new route to the temple is 5 meter wide and 400 meters long in size. The name of the road will be named ‘Aastha Path’. Apart from protecting Kedarnath Dham, Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s dream project is to make Kedarnath Temple strong and grand. Other development works are also being done to organize the journey.

400 meter New Route will be made for Kedarnath Yatra

Under this, a new infantry will be made on the top of the 380-meter security wall at the bank of River Mandakini. It is constructed by the Irrigation Department at a cost of Rs.50 crore. Around 20 meter of the path is ready. This route will be used by the devotees to enter the temple. From this arrangement, there will be no problem to the pilgrims coming to visit Kedar Dham.

He told that at 400 meters RCC long route cutting stone will be laid on the upper surface so that it looks beautiful and magnificent. The railing will be done on the lower side of the road. Solar lights will be available at every 13 meters on the upper side.

Astha Path will be covered with Rain Shelters

The 400-meter road will be covered with the Rain shelter so that the devotee’s walks along the path will be protected from rain, snowfall, and hailstorm.  Devotees will also hear devotional music on “Astha Path”. With a low tone, this music will rotate on the whole path. In order to facilitate passengers on the Gaurikund-Kedarnath pedestrian route, Rain Shelters will be made under the Prasad-2 Scheme. The route will be further refined so that the devotees do not face any difficulty during the journey.

Construction work of the “Aastha Path” has been started by the Irrigation Department. Work is expected to be completed in about 10 days. All the facilities will be available on the route. From next year, pilgrims will reach the temple via this route.
