Pilgrims visiting Kedarnath this season will have to pay extra penny for the food. GMVN has increase the cost of Thali by Rs 10/-. Along with that the breakfast cost has also increase.
GMVN offers food to the pilgrims staying at tents in Kedarnath. Till now it was Rs 170/- per thali, but from this Chardham season it will be available at Rs 180/-. A thali includes two vegetables, dal, roti, rice, raita, salad and pickle. GMVN will also charge Rs 80/- for the breakfast, instead of last year price Rs 70/-. Breakfast in Kedarnath has Tea, Aloo Parantha, Aloo Pudi, Curd and pickle.
More 200 Huts in Kedarnath
For this chardham season, there will be extra accommodation available in 200 huts. District Administration will made 100 huts and other 100 huts will be made by GMVN.
