The doors of the Second Kedar Lord Madmaheshwar closed on 18 November at 08:30 am following traditional rituals.
The closing date of Madmaheshwar Temple was decided on the eve of Vijaydashmi at Omakareshwar Temple in Ukhimath. During the winter season, the worship of Lord Madmaheshwar will be performed in the Omakareshwar temple for six months.
After the closing of the doors of the temple, Utsav Doli of Lord Madmaheshwar departed for its winter abode at Omkareshwar Temple Ukhimath. At the first stop, Baba’s Doli will stay overnight in Gondar village, Rakeshwari Temple in Ransi village on 19 Nov and Giriya village on 20 Nov. On November 21, the Utsav doli of Lord will arrive at the Winter abode. Then the Idol of Lord will be placed in Omkareshwar Temple for six months of winter worship.
