SDRF Team will search mythological route for Badrinath and Kedarnath
After reaching Rudraprayag this group of 30 people will be divided into the teams of 15-15 members. After this, a team will go on the mythical path of Kedarnath Dham’s. While the second team will go on the walkway of Badrinath Dham. The distance of Kedarnath from Rishikesh is 250 to 280 km while the distance of Badrinath from Rishikesh is about 300 km. Both teams will reach Dham before the opening of the Doors of the Temple. The purpose of exploring this mythical path is to promote tourism in the state and there is also a probability of tourism on the trek routes passing through it. These routes can be used as an alternative route during the disaster and uncomfortable circumstances. According to the experts, in ancient times, devotees used to visit Badrinath and Kedarnath Dham through these pedestrian routes. SDRF is once again trying to revive these walkways so that in the coming time, tourists can feel the cultural heritage of Badri and Kedarnath Dham with wonderful trekking.
Before 1946, Pilgrims used these routes to reach Badri-Kedar Dham
Sanjay Upreti, who led the team, told that, in ancient time, the pilgrims used this route to reach Badri and Kedarnath. Although this route is not being used for the past several years. Due to the expansion of forests and landslides and other divine disasters, these walkways have become completely darned. These routes are broken in many places. The geographical nature of the route has changed completely. Giving more details about this, Director General of Police and Director Ashok Kumar said that this work is being done to keep mythological heritage and tourism alive. This year the survey report of these routes will be given to the concerned department.
