Pilgrims visiting Chardham will no longer have Covid-19 negative report. The Uttarakhand Chardham Devasthanam Management Board has issued a new SOP, ending the mandate of the Corona Negative Report. Devotees will now have to only register for Chardham Yatra e-pass to get admission in the Chardham Temples – Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri and Yamunotri.
The Devasthanam Management Board has said that, as per the order of the Chief Secretary, it has now been allowed to enter the dhams without a Covid investigation report. Now, the devotees will register on the board’s website www.badrinath-kedarnath.gov.in/ and get Chardham Yatra e-pass. There will be thermal screening of the pilgrims at the designated screening centers. During this period, if symptoms of Covid 19 are found in anyone, they will not be allowed to travel.
Pilgrims who are visiting Badrinath Temple and Kedarnath Temple by helicopter, will not need to register on the board website.
Tour operators, travel agencies will also have the responsibility of ensuring the details of their passengers and their investigation. The board has advised people younger than 10 years and over 65 years of age to avoid traveling.
