Chief Minister Tirath Singh Rawat had decided to postpone the Chardham Yatra in Uttarakhand amidst growing Covid cases. Now it has been decided to return the booking amount to the passengers who had made advance booking for Kedarnath Heli service.
Tourism Secretary Dilip Javalkar has instructed the GMVN to return the ticket amount to the pilgrims. In this regard, GMVN has written a letter to the branch manager of Yes Bank located on Rajpur Road, Dehradun, directing the transfer of the pilgrims’ money.
Javalkar said that the Chardham Yatra has always attracted millions of pilgrims from all over the country and abroad to Uttarakhand. However, keeping in mind the danger of spreading the infection in the second wave of Corona and the safety of the pilgrims, a decision has been taken by the state government to postpone the Chardham Yatra this year.
Keeping in mind the convenience of pilgrims from India and abroad, advance online booking of tickets was started through the GMVN website from April 2 for the Kedarnath Heli service.
Online tickets for Kedarnath Helicopter Service were booked by many pilgrims. GMVN Managing Director Ashish Chauhan said that the booking amount is taken by GMVN on behalf of the heli operators, which is transferred to the account of GMVN operated by Yes Bank Limited.
Today, Yes Bank has been directed to deposit the remaining amount in the bank accounts of the passengers, leaving a processing fee of Rs 200. So far more than 11000 passengers had booked heli-service. This decision will bring great relief to thousands of pilgrims from India and abroad.

As per this article only 200 rs has to be deducted are the instructions given by the government but our travel agent has deducted 2000 per person that is 16000 for us 8 people…. What should we do?
