Kedarnath Yatra was affected a lot in the last two years due to Corona. Therefore, this time the devotees can visit Kedarnath Dham in record numbers. Snow removal work is going on in Kedarnath trek route in high speed.
Kedarnath Yatra is going to start from 6th May this year. Rudraprayag administration has become ready to fix the system. The work of clearing the frozen snow on the Gaurikund-Kedarnath route is going on. It is expected that in a day or two, the movement of Kedarnath Dham will be started by removing snow from the walkway. DDMA has engaged 160 laborers to clear the snow from the path.
The registration of horses and mules for Kedarnath Yatra is going on. Local people are submitting documents for allotment of shops on the Kedarnath Yatra trek route. The administration has given strict instructions to Sulabh International to take special care of cleanliness on the Gaurikund-Kedarnath walkway.
Let us inform that snow has been removed till Chhani camp on Gaurikund-Kedarnath walk and in a day or two the snow removal work will be completed till Kedarpuri. There is still snow up to one and a half feet in Kedarnath Dham. There is also one and a half feet of snow on both sides of the walkway and three and a half feet of snow has camped in the places of glacier.
But, the snow removal work is being affected due to frequent turning of the weather in the area spread from Gaurikund to Kedarnath Dham. Care is being taken to save the pilgrims coming to Kedarnath Dham from the misery on the footpath.
