In this season, Kedarnath will be secured by tight security. Many soldiers will be deployed there les with new weapons. The temple will be secured by cctv camera and internet networking that will cover the entrance of shrine, helipad & base camp. The Kedarnath Yatra will be started on 9th May 2016. This time Government & Police department is much more alert and they have put the high surveillance over the shrine.
Police department has drawn up a framework for the Kedarnath Yatra and also have passed it to other officers. According to there security framework, there will be 150 Constable, 100 Home guard, 100 PRD, 40 Subinspector, 5 Inspector & 2 Police Officers appointed to maintain the security of Kedarnath shrine. From Rudraprayag to Gaurikund, 4 to 5 constable will give duty. All area will be covered by police department and force will always keep an eye on every activity at the shrine.
