The Badrinath National Highway road opened yesterday after remaining blocked for several days due to a landslide. Landslides due to heavy rain caused the blockage.
The Border Roads Organisation (BRO) worked opened the road for passersby near Patalganga.
The disaster prone Uttarakhand has faced many natural calamities in the recent times due to its hilly terrain and presence of several massive rivers passing through mountains.
In recent times, landslides also took place in Tangni, Patalganga, Govindghat and Lambaghar near Chamoli.
