Tungnath temple will be open for pilgrims on 11 May 2016. Tritiya Kedar Tungnath shrine is preparing to welcome pilgrims. The villagers of Makku and Paw Jagpura are working day and night to make shrine opening ceremony memorable. Makkumath is the winter seat of Tungnath.

On 09 May a fair (Paundkhi Mela) will be held at Markandey temple of Makku on the occassion of adieu of Tungnath utsav doli. At the moment of fair the utsav doli of Tungnath will placed in open space of temple premises.
