Located in high Himalayas, the holy shrine of Tungnath (tritya kedar) is open for public on Friday. For the next six months, God Tungnath will be worshiped here only.

On thursday night, locals offered prayers on the second station of God Tungnath yatra in Chopta. At 8 am morning the holy DOLI of God Tungnath starts its journey from Chopta and reached at Tungnath temple at 11 am. Pilgrims welcomes the Utsav Doli with holy chants. At 11:30 am the shrine open for public. After then the idol of Panch Kedar, Parvati and Bhutnath are praised with God Tungnath. Pilgrims from far away places came to see the opening of Tungnath shrine.

In Tungnath temple, the shoulders and heart of the Lord Shiva are praised.
