While returning from the visit to the winter seat of Gangotri, Yamunotri, Badrinath and Kedarnath, in a press conference in Rudraprayag, he said that winter pilgrimage is our ancient tradition. We have been offering regular prayers at Chardham at their winter seats.
Conditions are different in winter from summer. Therefore, there are different places for Chardham Yatra in summer and winter, where worship and darshan of the deities take place. It is said that only the place changes, the devotee’s feelings towards his idol remain the same.
He said that people of other areas think that the closure of the doors of Chardham means extreme cold in the mountains, due to which transportation becomes difficult, but it is not so. Due to this thinking, people remain deprived of Chardham winter pilgrimage.
He said that he himself is conducting Chardham winter yatra by inviting people for winter yatra. He also visited Rudraprayag main market and Gulabrai Hanuman temple and offered prayers to Pawanputra Hanuman.
