GMVN has start setting up tents colonies at Kedarnath so that no pilgrims spend a night at open in minus degree weather. The administration is making sure that each pilgrims will get comfortable accommodation in Kedarnath Temple tents. GMVN is putting up 130 tents along with providing food for pilgrims.

GMVN Tents to Accommodate over 1000 pilgrims

Last year GMVN had 75 tents setup which is raise to 130 this year. Each tent can accommodate 8-10 pilgrims and more than 1000 pilgrims can stay in these tents.

GMVN has also increases the rates of accommodation and food services at Kedarnath. The new rate will be 100/- rupees higher for a tent as compared to last year. Also lunch and dinner price is increase by 20/- rupees and breakfast by 10/- rupees.
