State Government will setup tents colonies at Kedarnath so that no pilgrims spend a night at open in minus degree weather. During the forthcoming visit to Kedarnath, arrangements will be made for the night stay of 1500 devotees at the Dham. A colony of tents will also be prepared for the pilgrims to stay in Dham. For this, preparation has been started at the administrative level.
Tent colony will be setup for the pilgrims visiting Kedarnath Dham this year. These new tents in Kedarnath will accommodate more than 1500 pilgrims. Tourism department has given financial node of 2.88 crores to setup New Tent Colony in Kedarnath Dham.
Chardham Yatra is going to start from 03 May in 2022. With the great response in Chardham Online Registrations and Kedarnath Heli Service Bookings, its been estimated that huge number of pilgrims will visit Chardham Yatra this year. Govt and Tourism department is already making preparations for the forthcoming Chardham Yatra.
In Kedarnath, there is limited place for the accommodation of pilgrims. GMVN Rest Houses in Kedarnath is already fully booked. So administration is being setup new tents colony in Kedarnath Dham.
