State Government has started setting up tents colonies at Kedarnath so that no pilgrims spend a night at open in minus degree weather. During the forthcoming visit of Kedarnath, arrangements will be made for the night stay of 10 thousand devotees at the Dham. A colony of 200 tents will also be prepared for the pilgrims to stay in Dham. For this, preparation has been started at the administrative level.

400 Tents Colony will be set up by GMVN & State Govt at Kedarnath

Apart from this, along with 100 tents colony on the side of MI-26 helipad, a new colony of 200 tents will be prepared at Kedarpuri itself, which will provide a night stay of 2500-3000 devotees. Garhwal Mandal Vikas Nigam (GMVN) will also set up more than 100 tents in addition to huts/cottages. Apart from this, private people will also be allowed to operate tents at different places in Kedarpuri. On foot, arrangements will be made for the night stay of five hundred pilgrims in Chhani camp and two thousand devotees in Lincholi.

More than 10 thousand devotees will be accommodated in Kedarnath               

Necessary arrangements will be made in priests’ buildings and tents/huts from the Gaurikund-Kedarnath walkway to the temple so that the devotees do not face any problem. About one thousand devotees will be accommodated in the old buildings, including five new buildings built for the priests in the Dham.

District Magistrate Mangesh Ghildiyal said that compared to last year, there will be a complete arrangement to accommodate seven to eight thousand devotees from the first day of the yatra in Kedarnath. Necessary arrangements for this will be completed in time. Apart from this, arrangements will be made for the stay of three thousand devotees from Junglechatti to Lincholi.

Skin Chip will be installed in Horse/Mules during the Yatra

Under the Kedarnath Development Authority, 40 permanent toilets will be constructed for traveling on the Gaurikund-Kedarnath walkway. Rs.4 crore has been approved by the government for this. 20 toilets will also be built by the Hans Foundation. This time a skin chip will be installed in the Horse-mules during the Kedarnath Yatra. Through this chip, the correct location of the horse-mule will be found, as well as information of operator and devotee will also be available.

480m long Tin Shed will be constructed at Aastha Path

In Kedarnath, a Teen Shed will be constructed on the nearly 480-meter long Aastha Path built along the Mandakini River. A proposal of Rs.1.5 crore has been made for this. Along with this, benches will also be installed for the passengers to sit. Also, the shops will be operated. There will be lights on both sides of the tin shed so that the devotees will not face any problem during his journey.
