Adibadri Temple Doors Open for Devootes

On 14 January, on the sacred festival of Makar Sankranti, the doors of the Adi Badri Temple opened at Brahma Muhurta at 04:00 am. The temple is decorated with two quintals of marigold flowers for the inauguration ceremony. After the opening of the doors of the temple, Acharya Sunil Khanduri read the Srimad Bhagwat Katha.

Grand Ceremony will be organized from 16 January

Priest of the Temple, Chakradhar Thapaliyal opened the doors of the Adibadri Nath temple on the morning of Makar Sankranti at 4:00 am.  After the opening of the doors, a grand ceremony was performed at 10:00 am in the presence of MLA Surendra Singh Negi. President of the temple committee Vijayesh Navani said that on the first day of the ceremony, a performance of Sita Swayamvar will be staged on behalf of the local women’s and a district level volleyball competition will start in Ramlila Maidan in collaboration with trade associations and regional organizations.

On 16 January, folk dance and folk songs will be performed on the behalf of Bhuvaneshwari Mahila Ashram. While on 17 January there will be cultural programs performed by schools. Acharya Sunil Khanduri will read the Srimad Bhagwat Katha. Narendra Chakar, Naveen Bahuguna, Nanda Negi, Balwant Negi, Naresh Bermola have been assigned the responsibility of the program.
