The center of faith and devotion, warm water kund at Gaurikund will be resurrected soon. It was closed after the 2013 flash flood. For its restoration, Central Ground Water Board has given 20 crore expenditure proposal to state government.
Gaurikund is situated at an height of 1981 mtrs above sea level and its is the starting point for 16 kms trek to Kedarnath. There were two warm water kunds at right side of Mandakini river before 2013 floods. These were the famous attractions and centre of faith for the devotees.
