Pilgrims coming in the State to visit Gangotri Dham and to the Gaumukh trek will now get better facilities. Now the state will provide better solid waste management system, better communication networks and Wi-Fi connectivity under the Heritage Tourist Destination Development Program. In this scheme, the Central Government called upon the corporate houses to come forward to develop such tourism, heritage centres.
The state government has also received proposals from several corporate houses in this order. The development of the Gaumukh trek has been proposed by the Adventure Association of India. The development of Gaumukh Trek will be done by the Association on the ground level. There is a better system of cleanliness on the entire trek route, for this solid wood management system will be developed. Now all the tourists, pilgrims will get better communication network on the entire trek-route. Trek-route is also available with Wi-Fi access. Sign Boards is used in the trek for the trackers. Along with this, other facilities will also be developed under this program
The Hindu Economic Forum has shown interest to take charge of the Panch Badri temples. The importance of Badri-Kedar Dham in Devbhoomi is as much as the Panch Badri. Actually these temples are also a part of Badrinath Dham. Panch Badri temples include Shri Badri Narayan, Aadi Badri, Vridh Badri, Yogdhyan Badri, and Bhavisya Badri Temples.
Under this scheme; 76 monuments, natural sites across the country will be developed in terms of tourism. The development work of these sites is done by GMR, ITC, Dalmia Groups, NBCC, Travel Corporation of India, Travel.com, SBI Foundation, V Resorts, Inter Globe, and Adventure Tour Operator Association of India.
Under this scheme, Uttarakhand is way ahead of other states in the MoU with the central government. So far, this MoU has been signed only with Jammu & Kashmir and Uttarakhand. The purpose of this scheme is to preserve cultural and natural heritage and promote tourism.
According to this Scheme, the main benefit is Basic amenities for tourists in world-class tracking routes, ASI monuments, natural heritage sites, and tourist sites will be developed. In addition to these benefits; public facilities, developing access routes to tourist sites, modern facilities will also be developed.
This will help to develop the state’s tourism spots. Historic, Captivating from the Cultural, Archaeologically perspective; Temples, Monuments will be developed as soon as possible for the tourists. Other tourist sites will also be developed under this scheme.
